Service Description

Begin your journey in Interlaken and ride up to the sunny mountain village of Beatenberg, where your winter adventure starts. From here, the trail winds through snow-covered woods and open slopes toward the summit of Niederhorn. The air is crisp, the silence deep, and each step reveals a grander view — Lake Thun shimmering below, the white peaks of Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau towering above. The path is well prepared for winter hiking, following a ridge where the world drops away on both sides — to the Justistal valley on one, and to the vast blue of Lake Thun on the other. A small pine forest along the way feels almost enchanted, its branches heavy with snow. Halfway up, take a well-earned snack break at an alpine farm — a sunny spot with wooden benches and sweeping views. Snacks and warm drinks are included here, the perfect boost before the final climb. At the summit, enjoy lunch in the mountain restaurant or outdoors on the terrace (lunch not included). The food tastes better here, surrounded by light, snow, and sky, with one of the most stunning panoramas in the Bernese Alps spread before you. When you’re ready, trade hiking boots for a sled and glide back down toward Beatenberg. The descent is pure joy — fast, fun, and full of alpine charm. The trail twists through forests and across open slopes, with the lake flashing through the trees as you go. If you prefer a calmer return, simply walk back down or take the cable car to Beatenberg, enjoying the fading afternoon light and quiet beauty of the mountains. Either way, you’ll finish the day with rosy cheeks, tired legs, and a happy heart. This route blends everything that makes winter in Switzerland unforgettable: peaceful hiking, breathtaking views, and the thrill of a sled ride home. Dress warmly, wear good snow boots, and bring your sense of adventure. Sleds can be rented in Beatenberg, and local buses connect easily back to Interlaken West. From mountain to lake, from effort to laughter — this is the perfect winter day above Interlaken.
